Friends of Firbeck Hall
FoFH is a voluntary group dedicated to encouraging the sympathetic restoration of this beautiful 16th Century building, located in the village of Firbeck in South Yorkshire.
Firbeck Hall has a tremendous history of which only a tiny proportion is detailed on this site. The group is steadily acquiring more knowledge about the history of the people who lived at the Hall and is currently actively seeking information about the Stanyforth family who occupied it between 1676 and 1800.
The Friends group produces a quarterly newsletter detailing campaign progress, publishing articles of historical and social interest.
If you would like to join the friends group, have information you would like to to share with us about our campaign or the history of the Hall we would be very pleased to hear from you. Please email us here: fofhmembers@aol.com
Latest News:
We are delighted to be lending our support to a campaign to erect a memorial on the site of the former RAF Firbeck which is being organised by the Airfield Research Group. The group is planning to unveil the memorial at a ceremony on 25th August 2011 at 13.00, which will hopefully involve a flypast of vintage and current Army Air Corps aircraft. For more information about the memorial and the ARG, please see our 'links' page.
